Which is the Witch that Witches?

Which is the witch that witches?

Which is the ghost that stares?

Which is the black cat of many lives?

Which is the pumpkin that scares?

Where is the goblin who gobbles?

Who is behind that mask… ?

When it’s Halloween and midnight, perhaps it is best not to ask!

poem from the book Morning is a Little Child by Joan Walsh Anglund

Indiana Jones

(Not to be confused with a pioneer. Which happened. Twice. At that point, he removed his whip from his belt and started carrying it :)

A monster, as imagined up by Dylan

And not just any monster. A green monster. With six eyes. Six blue eyes. And six arms with only one finger each. Oh, and two tails. With spikes on both the top and the bottom. So no matter which way you swing it, someone’s getting spiked. And, by the way, the monster was supposed to have orange rocket boots. {I’ve been told I forgot that part.}

Diego the Animal Rescuer

(He loved the idea of dressing up as a pair with his sister and didn’t pick out what he would be for Halloween until she had made her choice {Dora and Diego are cousins}. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to make Diego’s sidekick, Baby Jaguar.)

Dora the Explorer

(This gal knew just what she wanted to be for the past two months. While her brothers waffled, flip-flopped and debated, her decision remained resolute: Dora. Sadly, it wasn’t until the last minute that she decided she wanted her beloved Cabbage Patch Kid doll to dress up as Boots, Dora’s monkey sidekick. This idea was hilarious to me, but I simply had no time to execute it. {Sigh.} Next year, I’ll apparently need to make sure I know what she and her baby want to be for Halloween.)

And finally, a witch

(The kids knew just what I was, but wondered why I didn’t dress up :)

Hope you have a frightfully fun All Hallow’s Eve. These ghouls sure did.

Great costumes! I love that Dylan came up with his own and had to direct you how it was to look. Cute kids!

It would be a little disappointing to have six arms and still only have six fingers to count on.

Did Indiana start carrying his whip so he could use it on anyone who mistook him for a pioneer?
They all look great - and so happy!
Great job, Mom! (I laughed out loud at the idea of Pink Baby dressed like Boots!)
You make a great witch, too, and I mean that in the very best of ways:)!!
Love you all, mamasmama
