The kids have been enjoying our new backyard tremendously. Especially when it rains. While others are running in from the rain, my kids run out into it. I’m sure our neighbors think we’re crazy.
The other day we spotted Maddy playing on the side of the hill behind our house.
What with her long dress and the field full of wildflowers, the whole thing reminded me of some scene out of “Little House on the Prairie.” Alexander, however, thought it was more Austen-esque – her heroines always seem to get caught outside in the rain on wind-swept hills.
Either way, pretty darn cute.
