Giving Thanks

Disclaimer:  still in summary mode...

I was horrified to discover that we had taken barely any pictures this month, including during our trip down to Dad’s for Thanksgiving.  Oops!

they're horrified too. (actually, i think they're just wondering where the snow is)

But that doesn’t mean that we have nothing to be thankful for.  Actually, if anything, it means we have an overabundance of things that make us thankful.  Here’s just a few …

A loving husband

Four wonderfully rambunctious children

The unconditional love of my Heavenly Father and the priceless gift of his Son

Knowing my family is forever

Living (so) close to so many family members

Being a cast-free household once again!

Having a job (especially one that allows us to live wherever we want)

Our house (that’s slowly starting to feel more like our home)

A bigger backyard

Four seasons!!!

Dear friends (those we had to leave behind as well as the new ones we’re making)

Cars that are (mostly) worry-free and take us where we want to go

And I can’t forget to be thankful for such a sweet running buddy whenever we’re down at Dad’s
me and my running buddy (and my two wanna-be running buddies)

“The happiest people I know are not those who find their golden ticket; they are those who, while in pursuit of worthy goals, discover and treasure the beauty and sweetness of the everyday moments. They are the ones who, thread by daily thread, weave a tapestry of gratitude and wonder throughout their lives. These are they who are truly happy.”  Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Forget Me Not’ (Oct 2011)
