Ode to an Aunt

Aunt Karen has been visiting this week!

This pretty much means that the kids are in heaven. {And Alexander and I are reasonably happy about it too.}

Since she gave us our season’s passes, we figured we should take her to SeaWorld a couple times during her visit. We managed three trips – and were able to do just about everything the park has to offer. I think Karen especially like the orca show. The kids loved having someone “cooler” to go on the rides and waterslides with. {Which meant that I got to ride a lot less than usual!}

Karen also came bearing gifts from Grandpa Keysa, part of which we used to take the kids to Build-a-Bear. They were thrilled to be able to make their very own bears {actually, we ended up with three dogs and one bear}. And it was so fun for us grown-ups to see them enjoying themselves.

We love having Karen visit and are so happy that she was able to come for so long this trip.

We just wish we lived closer!
