Well, after just over a week on the market and only two showings, we got an offer on our house! Not a great offer, but in this market I’m told I can’t complain. (Anyone who knows me knows I can complain, but in this instance I probably shouldn’t.)
Also, we just found out the Alexander got a new job. It’s a remote telecommuting position, meaning that he can work from home. Meaning that we can live pretty much anywhere we want. As long as it the house has high speed internet, that is.
Great news all around, but it sort of changes our weekend plans a bit. We had been planning to spend a relaxing long weekend at Pa & Nana’s house, helping them celebrate his retirement. Although we’ll still get to go to his retirement party, we’ll now be spending the rest of the weekend (and Alexander’s birthday – sorry!) driving up to NY to house hunt.
Sixty hours in the car round trip, take two.
