Here’s some (slightly belated) pictures from Maddy’s five-month photo shoot. Not that we take pictures of her every month or anything smart like that. Just that we happened to take a bunch of pictures of her around her five-month-old mark.

A few things that have changed in the weeks since these were taken:
- Her two lower front teeth have emerged
- She’s started solids (Her favorite so far appears to be sweet potatoes. This we surmise due to the fact that the kid who’ll open her mouth for anything in order to gnaw on it won’t even part her lips for rice cereal, applesauce or bananas. She opened twice for the sweet potatoes, so we’re calling it a success)
- She can almost sit up by herself (she has pretty good balance, but she gets so excited about sitting up that she’ll throw herself backwards, thus defeating the object of “sitting up”)
- She can get up on her hands and knees briefly (she wants to crawl so bad, you can just see it, but she only ends up scooting herself backwards)
- She can roll from back to front now too (we haven’t seen her do it, but we always put her to sleep on her back and have found her on her stomach a few times when she’s woken up, so we figure she can but just likes to practice in private)

Very cute! Babies grow up way too fast, I'm sure she's just anxious to catch up with her brothers :)
