Isn’t It Ironic

She’s decided that now is the perfect time to potty train. After over a year of flirting with the idea. After dozens of false starts. After multiple attempts at parental bribery. (Anyone else remember Daddy offering her all the money he would spend on her diapers for a year if she would potty train at the age of two?)

After all that, she’s decided that now is finally the time. Of course she has. Now, in the midst of selling a house. Now, in the midst of buying a house. Now, in the midst of packing up all of our earthly possessions. Now, in the midst of moving cross country. (Perhaps she remembers another of Daddy’s pronouncements that we wouldn’t get a dog until all the kids were out of diapers.)
