Fill ‘Er Up

After months of planning and projects and weeks (if not months) of packing, the big day has finally arrived. That’s right, folks! It’s pack-the-truck day!

Since we have four kids, two cars, and more stuff than we probably need we were forced to rent the biggest truck known to man. An intimidating sight to say the least. And – intimidation notwithstanding – this still left us with the problem of having three vehicles to move and only two people of legal driving age. Fortunately, my dad flew to the rescue. He even looks like a super hero, doesn’t he! (Plus he’s always harbored a desire to be a truck driver, so it was a win-win situation.) We put him to work right away.

Oh, and don’t let those happy faces fool you. It was ridiculously hot outside! Moving in TX in the middle of July?

Whose idea was this, anyway?!

Another Penske, plowing down the road toward a new life. And yay for good help! Top of the mountains to walking at the river to living near the Grove.
