Who Needs Sleep

Sleep? We’re no getting much around here. Not as bad as newborn baby days, but certainly not as much as we’d like. We just don’t seem to have enough hours in the day to get everything done. So we stay up late, pathetically attempting to get something we actually want to do done after we’ve finished all the day’s have-to-dos. And then we get up early to start the whole cycle again.

Yesterday, Alexander was at the computer and started to doze. He was in the process of going through his email inbox, reading, replying, deleting as necessary, when he drifted off. Unfortunately, when he woke up, he realized that his finger had been on the delete key when he fell asleep. He had deleted all his messages back through Monday during his nap! (Now that’s what I call multi-tasking. I’ve never known someone who could accomplish stuff while they slept. It’s like a superpower! Of course, you know, with great power comes great responsibility.) He then had to spend the next fifteen minutes un-deleting all those sleep-deleted emails one-by-one.

And as a special treat, enjoy the video below of Ed Robertson from BNL, performing their song whose title, coincidentally enough, happens to be the title of this little post. In a bathroom, of all places. BNL cracks me up! (If you like the song, you can find it on the BNL CD Stunt.)

HOW TRUE! I was thinking of your post this weekend as I performed Friday night, went home and slept then went right back to the theatre the next morning for a day of rehearsals and performances. Who needs sleep when there are so many other fun things to do?
