There was actually so much fun that we had to split it up into two days. We did the zoo yesterday and the park and lunch today.
And the grown-ups even had a little fun too.
Then, after playing hard, it was off to lunch where the kids were on their best behavior. But who wouldn’t be when ‘a whole pizza all to myself’ and all-you-can-eat steak fries are involved? Dylan was suitably embarrassed when the better part of the wait staff came out and sang to him. But I think he felt that the ice cream sundae, balloon and three dollars he subsequently received (a sweet fellow diner gifted him with the money on his way out of the restaurant) made any humiliation he suffered well worth it.
Oh, and just one reason why I love this sweet little ginger-haired boy of mine?
He willingly split that ice cream sundae with his siblings, gave each of his brothers one of his newly-acquired dollars (he would have given his sister his last dollar, but we told him that he should keep it), and politely asked the waiter if he could have three more balloons so his brothers and sister could each have one.
See what I mean? He’s just so easy to love!

When's the next bus to your house? I just have to get in on all this fun - and give your sweet ginger-haired boy a hug! ( along with the rest of you)
Great idea to show the grown-ups having fun, too!! Makes me smile all the more! mamasmama
