Where Have All The Bloggers Gone?

It seems they’ve all decided to stop posting. Or at least many of the ones I enjoy reading on a daily basis. Don’t they know I depend on them for my funny? I don’t have TV after all people! You are my link to the outside world.

I know the blogging community holds such events as awards season and delurking week. But I was unaware that there was such a thing as boycott blogging month. Maybe I’m new enough to the club that I didn’t receive the memo. Or maybe I was skipped over because of my vocal disapproval of the meme tag (is that sacred in blogdom?). But whatever the reason, I was clearly not informed that my regular reads would be dropping off the face of cyberspace.

And then there’s the matter of my commenters. For awhile back there I was feeling really loved. I was even into the double digits a few times. But now I’m seeing numbers so low my not-quite-three-year-old can count them for me. If announcing a pregnancy doesn’t bring on the comments I don’t know what will. I’m not a performing monkey. I’m about out of tricks. What’s the deal?

Hopefully, whatever weird atmospheric anomaly has caused this phenomenon will subside in the near future because this is really starting to mess with my sense of reality. Or, at the very least, my love of escapist entertainment.
